The dates for the next edition are already confirmed: Between the 29th and the 31st of August at Anhembi, São Paulo.
The International Poultry and Pork Show finished today with a record public and great business-generating opportunities. The event is an initiative by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) and has turned into the largest event of the sector in the country. During the three days of the event over 12 thousand visitors attended the corridors of Anhembi Parque – a record number. Visitors came from Brazil and from another 50 countries from the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. The qualified public included CEOs from producing and exporting agro-industrial companies, inputs and equipment, technicians, producers, purchase managers, researchers, among others. They visited over 100 exhibiting companies such as slaughtering, processing and exporting companies, equipment, biological inputs, pharmaceutical companies and others that are part of the production chain.
“The recipe for the success is innovation. We create pioneering initiatives and consolidate partnerships that made this the most important poultry and pig event in the country”, highlights the Executive President of ABPA, Francsico Turra. According to Turra, initiatives such as Projeto Produtor (that attracted about 1.2 thousand producers from various regions of the country), initiatives in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and exclusive conferences with the panel of CEOs from Aurora Alimentos, Mário Lanznaster, from BRF, Pedro Faria, and from JBS, Wesley Batista and coordinated by the editor of Agribusiness of Valor Econômico newspaper Fernando Lopes.
SIAVS was the first political meeting of the sector in 2015 and counted on the presence of the governors of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin, of Paraná, Beto Richa, of Santa Catarina, Raimundo Colombo, of Mato Grosso do Sul, Reinaldo Azambuja, and of Goiás, Marconi Perillo, in addition to the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Kátia Abreu, and the Minister of the Secretariat of Ports, Edinho Araújo. “Our sector showed that, contrary to the national economic scenario, we are still growing, investing, fomenting business and stimulating the technical development of poultry and pig industries”, explained Ricardo Santin, Vice-President for poultry at ABPA. In the congress rooms, 1.5 thousand spectators took part in debates and conferences that brought 76 speakers to the event from European countries and from countries in the Americas. “Full rooms every day of the event made it clear that we have accomplished our mission. We have invested heavily in bringing specialists and with this number of panelists we confirm our status as the country’s biggest technical and economic poultry and pig breeding event in Brazil” explained Ariel Mendes, Production Director of ABPA and Coordinator of Programming and Seminars. According to José Perboyre, Finance and Administrative Director of ABPA and Coordinator of the SIAVS event, engagement by partners from the most varied segments – of associated entities, of the sector’s media, government organizations and others – was of great importance for the success of the event. “For our next edition scheduled to take place from the 29th to the 31st of August 2017, exhibitors have only one request: to increase the size of the exhibition area. Companies that were not able to participate in this edition have confirmed interest and this affirms that 2017 will be even larger and more expressive, said Perboyre.
